The new philosophy and inspiration that the fledging restaurant owner Karel ten Böhmer has given De Lachende Draeck (previously De Wakende Haan) will pleasantly surprise you. The new trendy interior, with a touch of ‘lounge' in the historic building in the centre of Abcoude also adds to the relaxed nature of an appetizing dinner, delicious lunch or heartening breakfast.

Following a lavish dinner, you may perhaps like to spend the night. That is possible too in the adjacent Hotel Abcoude, also owned by entrepreneur Karel ten Böhmer.
